RE: FREE KEONTE!!!! And This Team Will.....
I can't say enough about his tenacity and the manner in which Keonte has acclimated himself here...The harmony/rhythm that's growing with every game is becoming an amazing script, like a John Coltrane tune... Wonderful win indeed. I would love for CPH to address the demeanor of Jayden that has been building profusely this season, even after Jayden having a great moment in games, there are occasions when he has gotten down on himself...

As this demeanor could be attributed to him expecting more of himself especially at this junction in his career...Jaydens' impact is, at times, wonderful, however this 03-hissyfit that he is displaying is taking him totally out of plays, it's progressing...

On the breakaway that Jayden was on and missed the, Keonte and other players were hustling, while Jayden was sulking was shocking to witness, to say the least.... Although it can't be determined just how much of an impact these antics have on/in a game, there is an impact...

Memphis scored on a drive by KD in the lane and I recall Auburn scoring really quickly on an outlet pass on the other end. Kendric motioned to one of the "other" guards (in the game at the time), as if it were their responsibility to protect back... I'm not certain if it were Alo or Jr. in the game at that particular time frame but this could have been during one of Jr.'s sulking periods..

I recall Penny also having these moments of being down/hard on himself during his games as well...Whatever he did to overcome this issue translated into greatness, so this will be very interesting to witness the next phase of development with Jayden 07-coffee3

Personally, I like Kennedy coming off the bench. In the immortal words of Monty Python,
"And now, for something completely different."

Jayden sulking was pretty uncharacteristic. Stop acting like a baby, Junior!

DeAndre has yet to play like DeAndre so that will help some when he cones round

We just look to be a piece or two short.

Got two coming shortly.

Franklin and who?

Young

https://gotigersgo.com/sports/mens-baske...-jr-/10637

Not sure Young will help:
Played in 26 games onset year averaging 2.0 points, 1.7 rebounds, 0.5 blocked shots
Here is Young's recruiting profile. He was a 3 star coming out of DeSoto High School, in a south Dallas suburb. Good height at 6'9" and he loves to dunk.

He just got down on himself after he missed 3 shots in a very short time. Less sulking, and more discouraged. He'll be okay.

There aren't any gr8 teams this year. A team that cuts down the nets after The Madness of March could easily be an absolute "Dark Horse"

With the emergence of playmakers such as Keonte Kennedy, Memphis absolutely has a change at being that horse.... I will admit that seeing his footage, I saw flashes that gave me the impression that Keonte wouldn't be as effective (from a defensive perspective). Kudos to Coach Penny and his system, Keonte is acclimating beautifully. In Keonte, I'm seeing the playmaking abilities of Landers with the tenacity of Boogie or even Lester. In a very short time, Keonte has asserted himself well...The sky is the limit, as he seems to relish this opportunity.

He's quicker than Nolley, he's a better finisher and seems NOT afraid to take the shot, albeit with a quicker release I might add.

I dare to say he shoots as good as Lester, though seems to be a more capable ball-handler, follows up his missed -shots just as well and AGAIN, Keonte gets the nod with his athleticism...

If Keonte can manage to get more minutes alongside KD, I feel his game will flourish even more, helping us remove the offensive load from Kendrick, making Memphis an amazingly dynamic team..... Add Damaria next to KD and the versatility of Keonte to hold don the 3 position and Memphis will crescendo as "The Darkhorse"....We will "punch our tickets" and plan for a deep run this March with confidence that we can outgun anyteam.....And you know wee gonna play D 04-rock03-cloud904-cheers

I couldn't agree more. Keonte is my biggest surprise this season. I had no idea he was that good. He makes great crisp passes and seems to have alot of hops. I like his motor. He goes to the goal like Rodney Carney, Billy Smith or Jermaine Johnson. I really like this team.

Yes, he's constantly in motion on the court...those dimes from Kendric hitting him on the move for the strong finishes, were EPIC and simultaneously demoralizing for the other team....COGSCOGSCOGS The euphoria when that connection happens 03-cloud903-cloud903-cloud9

Thing is it happened to Hardaway on at least 3 occasions, after a missed dunk, after missed free throws and after missing three chippies. The kid plays hard, and I'm sure wants to come into his own, but he can't quit playing during a live ball. I bet it doesn't happen again.

One thing about ALo, no matter how many mistakes he makes, that kid still hustles his tail off. I'm sure Penny will address the moping. Kennedy is going to be really good, that kid doesn't flex after a great play, he hustles back down the court.

We really need for DeAndre to undefstand his importance to this team and learn to stay on the court. We are a different team when he is in the game.

Hope Framklin gegs eligible soon, if not he will give us a veteran guard next season.

I recall it being on Sunday Evening, gosh, 04-jawdrop I'm trying to recall the last guard that finished anywhere close....D Rose of course...CDR/Geron Johnson and I think Jeremiah finished with authority once or twice and of course Penny was the best

04-bow04-bow04-bow This goes out to KEONTE....Man I just want to say thank you for staying the course;working diligently to perform when your name is called and the lights are on.....You have become my favorite as I love seeing the fluidity of your game....Your intensity out there is incredible, as I love seeing you grab the board and begin to push the ball up the floor....You're putting an immense amount of pressure on the defense and that allows Kedrick and the others McCadden/DeAndre to become "more' effective at what they can do...

The defensive intensity is gr8 to witness just as well, using your quickness/instincts to play safety in those passing lanes and you on the break COGSCOGSCOGS you are indeed bring a level of excitement that has been missed.....Offensive rebounds and finishing strong at the basket is what we have missed from our 2 guard i a long time.....

I am absolutely thrilled....You have a hold of that position young man.....Keep working diligently and NEVER regress.....GtG

I expected the starting lineup before the season to be Davis, Kennedy, McCadden, Williams, Kao. I hope that this remains our starting lineup for the remainder of the season.

For his career, I think Lomax has been more effective off the bench--he just adds a giant spark of energy. Hopefully, he and Dandridge can come back soon.

I really enjoyed the offense against Cincinnati, in particular Kennedy and McCadden cutting without the ball. I hope this continues.

03-cloud903-cloud903-cloud903-cloud9 OMGOSH....Seeing these player moving/cutting, being wide open underneath the basket is EXACTLY what you expect from a Penny Hardaway coached team...The fact that this team is scoring such a high paint % coupled with the defensive pressure and attacking the passing lanes puts the abilities of his team in another stratosphere COGSCOGSCOGS
