Whatever makes him happy. I’m sure this wasn’t an overnight decision and Cade had a good idea of the direction he wanted to head before he entered the portal. Iowa’s not without its issues but it seems to fit Cade,

Sounds like there will be others coming with Cade. Stanford RB Arlen Harris Jr & Alabama WR Traeshon Holden are talking to Iowa.

Unless someone's replacing Ferentz' son with an OC that can hit higher than 121st nationally passing, he's not going to enjoy it.

He's going to be starting; Iowa hasn't had a losing season since 2012; Iowa is 33-14 in the last four years. He's going to be having a hell of a lot more fun than whatever poor sucker has to go under center for us next season.

Now to pick up a couple of experienced OL guys to protect him, and perhaps a WR and RB. Ferentz has finally agreed to look at portal possibilities.

This genuinely surprises me. A lot of the national media was saying Cade to Iowa was a lock even before he announced he was entering the portal. And I'm talking respectable media, not Stephan A or Colin Coward.

You experts do remember Iowa was in Big Ten championship game last year, right?

And almost got back there this year?

Maybe all their offense needs is a legitimate Big Ten QB like McNamara.

Meanwhile - Fleck has not been to Indy-won West championship or beaten Hawkeyes in six years.
