USF would've had a 48 yarder to win it if the right call is made. Maybe UCF doesn't squib up 2 though.

Agree, but I do have to point out that Battie has been far and away our best weapon all year and capable of breaking one at any point. He is truly a special back.

That said, I still would have attempted at least one safe pass to try to get the first down.

I do get that for sure, but design a play to get him in some space. Give your guy a chance to make the play rather than 3 runs off tackle into the teeth when they are selling out to take that away.

First down showed ucf was selling out in the middle. Usf had success with the qb pulling many times. I don't even say they needed to throw (though in third and long they should have). Just don't run to the teeth of the defense selling out too stop it.

Usf couldn't stop ucf. Their only success was fumble luck. However ucf also really struggled to stop usf. Usf playing conservative late just made no sense

No idea. I thought he was out, but it was close so I understand why they let the call on the field stand. I thought his knee hit a split second before toe. Even if they hit at the same time, he should have been out. I didn't see anything that led me to believe his toe hit first, but it was very close and they called it a TD on the field. If they had called it incomplete, it would have stood also.

He was out. The ref made an awful call and somehow didn't correct it even with replay. Probably didn't matter though.

I had no rooting interest in this game but yes. That was the chance to ice the game and they did not even seem to try. The one zone option, if the QB kept it he had 7-8 yards at least too.

This fan had the better angle.
