This mornings America’s Thanksgiving Parade from Detroit, was carried by one of our local stations here in Tampa. Right in the middle of the parade was a large, visually pleasing, CMU float! The announcers spent several minutes extolling the virtues of being a Chimp. Ruined my Thanksgiving morning! Smart move getting PR outside of Michigan!

CMU has put a TON of effort and focus into being visible in Metro detroit. Billboards everywhere, a very visible satellite campus right in campus martius. Our leadership should be taking note.

I agree…CMU seems to have a ton of commercials, billboards, etc.

I always wonder though…is it paying off for them??? They seem to have as bad of enrollment issues as anyone. Still agree that WMU could do so much more though. We are almost silent in that respect.

We could at least have the BMB march in the parade! That parade has gotten live, national coverage for decades.

Not that we need to copy CMU... ever, but do we really need yet another reminder of how crappy our marketing department is under Proudfoot?

How/why this guy is still employed @ WMU shows there is a bigger problem at the top. The "rebrand" was/is a joke and even more concerning are all the other changes that have taken place since. Proudfoot should have been fired for his gross incompetence and Montgomery's inaction is another red flag. I'm stunned WMU’s Board of Trustees has not taken any action either.
