Irvine: Tuning out the unknown has been part of the process...
Steve's article gives us a glimpse of the hard side of the coaching change. Some good people are going to get hurt, and lose their jobs. Of course, this happens every day in business, and regularly in the coaching business. It comes with the job. But that doesn't mean you don't feel for those who know they are in a lame-duck situation now, trying to do their best at their current job--including recruiting players to a program where their own days are likely numbered.
