How in the holy he!! can Centeio be SunBelt Offensive Player of the Year and NOT 1st team QB.....that is total BS.

Yeah I'm looking at it more closely now. Toddy is 2nd team QB to McCall, who won POY? So they give out a POY, OPOY, and DPOY? Seems stupid to me have an extra POY award. Is that a common thing? Pretty sure the CAA or predecessors never did anything like that.

McCall over Toddy is complete and total horse crap. Looking at the stats, even the avg. per-game ones, it's absolutely no contest.

While it seems off, they gave McCall 1st team QB and also overall POTY. Essentially Centeio was given second place QB in SBC.

You can argue toddy or McCall. Both are worthy and looks like they just split up awards.

The laughable part is the GS fan thinking Van Trease deserves anything over centeio

Yep.

Saw that SBC has been doing the 3 awards since 2008.

Looks like ACC does a POY as well as the OPOY and DPOY. UNC's Maye was both POY and OPOY.

The SEC only does OPOY and DPOY, but that was a change in 2001 when they went from a single POY to OPOY and DPOY.

If you are going to do all 3 awards, you might as well make it 3 different guys. The vast majority of Heisman candidates (and likely even higher % for the unofficial "hopefuls") are offensive guys. In the ACC results linked above there were 5 guys that got votes for OPOY and they were then #1-5 in POY voting. The DPOY, Calijah Kancey from Pittsburgh, got a single vote for POY and came in 6th.
