Dude it’s Duke. Smh

They still getting that fat ACC TV check. Add that to their other funding sources and billion dollar endowment and Duke has $$$ to spend. SMH…

What does that have to do with anything? So are his opponents now. He has to play Clemson, Florida St, UNC, NC State and Duke. Who do you think gets better players? We play vs the AAC. Who gets better players than Memphis in the AAC? Maybe UCF? I don’t think you get what I’m talking about.

And yet the Duke OC is a Broyles nominee, playing against all those teams you listed. You replied to racecar guy derisively that they are Duke as if they aren't allowed to have a good coach. They are like any other P5 - they can buy who they want. He has more tools ($$$) to work with there than he had here. That is all....

That wasn’t what I meant good grief. Duke is at best a middle of the road ACC team year after year. What was their record last year? This year it’s what 7-3? Yet many here thought he was the problem. The point of this whole thread is he wasn’t

And yes he’s getting P5 talent he’s also playing against it

At Memphis he’s playing against weaker talent yet we went 6-6

I don’t know why you don’t grasp the point

Nice to see someone else looked it up. I will at least give credit for their offensive efficiency improving a lot so far. It was terrible earlier this season.

EDIT: Duke does have more points on the season. But it's 337 (33.7ppg) to 331 (33.1ppg).

Duke's SoS is weaker than Memphis.

The Tigers have played 4 teams who have been ranked at some point this year.

Exactly. And even before that there was a similar discussion after three games this season. I mentioned here that at the time Sagarin had our SoS rank at 47 and Duke's was 179th which is weaker than quite a few FCS schools.

RE: He Wasn't the Problem
Johns musta took the Norvell offense with him.
He was an Air Raid offensive coordinator prior to coming to Memphis..and his team has very Memphis/Norvell stats this year.

Main difference is they have a running QB though their RBs have okay numbers too. The QB leads their team in rushing.
