Lloyd the bartender and the two creepy twins on line one...

At least you're not Buffalo

It's passed us so far. El Blanco Muerte. Go load up on milk and bread. I love this country when it comes to weather forecasts.

Do people do that up in Northern Michigan as well? I used to work in a grocery store in high school, and it was always crazy how many people would venture out during the worst of a storm for milk and bread even though I don't think there was ever a time in my childhood where we were ever snowed in for more than a day or two.

Nah. Elderly keep an eye on weather. Gives them some weird sense of security. Rest of us don't ever pay attention to forecasts since they are never right. I haven't watched a weather newscast in a decade.

We get the Michigan inch+ every evening...snow that just happens regardless of what they say is coming.

That's what I had thought, but your milk and bread comment threw me off. I don't like the sound of an inch of snow everyday unless I have a mountain to ski on nearby.

That was more a joke about Greater Cincinnati. Weather drives ratings.

Up here we all have wells, dual fuel generators, 550 gallon propane tanks and chest freezers. I could be snowed in and have the power completely out for a month and it wouldn't impact us one bit.

Sheesh, someone should make a game show where the contestant has to determine if a person is a doomsday prepper or just a Northern Michigan resident.

I live in the largest county in Michigan by square miles and we have exactly 1 traffic light.

Winter population is maybe 15,000. Summer population is about 200,000. Unincorporated township...if you called 911 for an ambulance it might take an hour. People up here learn to be sorta self sufficient regardless of politics. It's refreshing. Couldn't live in a city again if it came with this weeks lotto numbers.

I'm sending you a titanium extra width shovel deluxe FedEx in time for the weekend. Enjoy your winter blast in November.

I don't own a snow shovel or a leaf rake. God puts it there. God gets rid of it.

People up here actually know how to drive in snow. No 4x4 8 person SUV required. I drive an Acura TLX. It's not that hard. There are perhaps 3 days a winter I stay home. People in cities don't know how to survive winter weather without flipping out. Didn't use to be that way. People expect it all to be easy and clean and manicured now.

Folks down here don't know how to drive in snow or ice. That said, we don't get much of either. More sleet/freezing rain than outright snow. I'll take my mid-Atlantic year round climate over anywhere else in the country. Well, maybe with the exception of San Diego but I wouldn't live in Kalifornia if you paid me an annual stipend.

When bad weather is coming I load up on bourbon. I have enough foodstuff to keep me alive for weeks, but not enough booze to get me through tough times.

Though, I am heading to Cincinnati tomorrow. Going to Boosalis to load up on croissants.

UC should ease up on signing mostly guards now. We need talented big men. Big 12 will be brutal if we have mostly guards on our roster. 6'7 Guards don't make much difference after watching a NKU shellacking of us and even blocking many of our layups by our 6'7 guards.

Our two biggest targets right now are both elite big men. Really need to land at least one of them.

Good luck with that. There’s no reason for an elite anything to sign with Wes. He will get a better NIL deal and more draft visibility in literally four dozen other programs right now. Our best hope is solid but not elite players in search of playing time.

How did Baylor do with 4 guards playing at once?

I doubt we could match the money USC offered.
