2023 Baseball
Man Coach Duncan must be feeling the heat. Go look at the schedule for 2023. Has to be the worst in the last 30 years. Non-Conference weekends are Jacksonville, Wofford, Murray State, UT Martin, Canisus. Only 4 games vs NCAA teams in Canisuis (3) and Michigan (1).
Trying to pad that record so he can say look we're improving. Also, no official press release around recruits that we're signed last week but when i look on twitter. only 3 from OH, 2 IL and 1 each from WI, KS, PA and IN. OH and Western PA used to be our staple for almost entire roster. We're officially in the land of mediocrity......

Duncan is bad. The absolute wrong guy. Our baseball program is weak, and it's really sad to see.

A lot of programs seem to be weakening. Wrestling comes to mind

Seems we went from dominating the MAC and having eyes all over the baseball world on us, and trying to track who will get drafted and which alumni/pros are advancing to the run of the mill nothing program. Tradition certainly graduated hereā¦

RE: 2023 Baseball
I think COVID hurt the pitching, or maybe the recruiting hasn't been as good. But that's what I'm looking for this year (an improvement in the pitching).
Also worth remembering, baseball is weird. The highest drafted college player in Ohio last year was Ben Ross, who came out of that collegiate baseball powerhouse of Notre Dame College. Not Notre Dame University, but Notre Dame College. And he is legit (absolutely destroyed the Northwoods League and had a nice debut at A level ball for the Twins). A couple of good pitchers and all of Kent's issues will be solved.

Was it Dan Dakich who went to West Virginia and then changed his mind and went back to BGSU? Not quite the same thing but still not a good look.
