Any word on the extent of Carolines injury? Hoping it is not too bad.

It's an early-season warmup, I get it, but no rewards here, other than injuries.

100% agree.

If JMU does play Longwood, however, it should always be on our home court.

Wife and I made the drive to Farmville yesterday for the game and came back home this morning. Farmville is definitely way out in the middle of someplace. As a fellow coworker of mine once said the sort of place that you have to drive thrree hours from to get no where.

Was kinda surprised how long it took to get there from here in Northern VA,

Brian

I haven’t spent a ton of time in Farmville, but the Appomattox River Canoe Company is there, where I bought a canoe a quarter-century ago. There’s also a decent BBQ place, there Fishin Pig, south of town.

We are fortunate JMU did not become Longwood, Radford or Mary Washington. Thanks, Uncle Ron Carrier!

I darn near took a job there but at the last minute got a better offer in Richmond. Thank goodness. That place really is the back side of nowhere.

I grew up there. Definitely a very small town and not a lot to do, but my parents are still there and like it so to each their own.

The guy that started the fish n’ pig is a childhood friend of my older brother from Farmville. He’s a few years older and went to VT with my brother as well.

A good buddy of mine has family there. That’s cool about the Pig. There’s one in Waynesboro, too, and I think Norfolk?

My job sometimes requires me to travel to the hinterlands and we always try to find a BBQ joint to hit up. Waynesboro and Norfolk aren’t the hinterlands, but the Pig south of Farmville probably counts!

We just signed up for ESPN+ again so I watched the replay of the game. I continue to be very impressed by Kadidia Touré and Cheyenne Rowe. They are going to be a formidable pair going forward. Mya Koné shows some nice moves too; she's the kind of player I like, long and slinky. Kind of reminds me of Sherese Pittman. That play where Germond got hurt---if a foul wasn't called on the Longwood player, it should have been. Definite reach-in. I hope Caroline will recover soon. That looked nasty. I don't know where those refs came from but they need to go back there and stay there! Kiki looked like her mid-season self and Peyton is definitely on her way back. Love Amari Williams--she is on her way to being my favorite player.

Any word on Annalicia or Mikaya?
