Gaines played much better, he didn’t get a tech but someone shot a single free throw with no one lined up so I don’t know what that’s about

I absolutely loathe how our bigs gather the ball , jump stop, power dribble, double clutch, and make what should be an open dunk or layup into an incredibly hard, defended shot

Yeah tired of watching our big men dribble. Just awful. Even when they don’t turn it over they miss the window for an easy shot and then get fouled and miss FT.

We are just doing a lot of sloppy stuff that gets you beat against decent teams.

There is a lot to like about this team, but we obviously have work to do. Mid season form, we are not.

I agree with you DD. Looking a lot better in the 2nd half. I'll give credit where it's due - Gaines has looked much, much better tonight. He is doing everything. He just had another very nice find to Ty Brewer who subsequently missed the layup in true UAB big man fashion

Gaines is kinda the perfect example of where we are. He will do something spectacular and follow it up with a really bad decision. Jelly is having one of his least impactful games in a while. I really like Davis. He is active and moves great for a big guy.

He still has a tendency to do really dumb stuff... But overall, he has played light years better tonight than against Toledo. He's missed 3 dunks now.

Toney plays hard, but Got Damn, he has absolutely no offensive game.

Javian Davis is really good. We have a nice stable of big men this year. We should have an advantage there against most teams we play. Hopefully they can limit their fouls in the future.

Sloppy end to the game to give AK something to get on em about in the 30 point win.

Great to hear Steve on the radio tonight! And I agree Answer…after a worrisome start Gaines had a great game tonight. His technical was a flop call, which is a 1-shot tech now. Great double double for Gaines with efficient shooting (7/11, 2/2 from 3).
