Interesting that Coach says the Mustangs will play pressure defense, full court, all game.
Should be interesting to see if we handle pressure better than last season.

Well, it is MAC, but 7 of 8 from three is not too bad.

Milkereit with 21, all in the 2nd Half. "The Milkman delivers..."

Ayesa wins the scoring duel with 23 (7 of 9 from 3).

Milkereit can be an effective shooter when he goes straight up with his shot. Last year and earlier in this game he showed a tendency to drift or float which really hurts him. Whether it’s simply a bad habit or something he falls into when facing more athletic defenders I can’t say.

Hopefully Mullins isn't out long, but I'm interested in Chase Lowe getting more time running the point. Yes, I know it was MAC, but he seemed very composed and the offense ran efficiently. He's a much more deliberate PG than Rice and doesn't really get himself in positions that he is out of control. Anders is very controlled, but he doesn't have the size and physicality of Lowe.

My “get off the lawn” comment:

We had two really good ball movements in the first 10 minutes, one with 17:15 to go and another with 11:05 to go. (I just saw the second play was named “the smart play of the game”.)

(Had a FaceTime from my granddaughter at the 10:00 mark so was distracted for the rest of the first half.)

I hope the play at the 17:15 is featured more in our offense going forward, especially against zones.

Missed the game. What is Mullins’ injury?

Looked like an ankle sprain in the opening minute.

Cue Warner Wolf? If you had MAC and 75, you lost.

I hope it was useful as a scrimmage - I guess we'll find out Sunday night.

I also hope it was a fun experience of "big time" hoops (well, sort of) for the kids from MAC, despite the outcome.

But I can't really think of it as a game, or count it in my head as a win.

I see the value. Guys got to work together, move the ball, and practice fundamentals with little resistance.

I enjoyed seeing guys that are not normally featured pushed into a more prominent role.
Guys like Jake, Jack, Chase, Matteus, & Miguel were all asked to do more and looked solid doing it. Not sure how much transfer there is other than a boost of confidence headed into a game vs our toughest opponent of the season.
