hard to imagine wichita beingso bad with how all the players are turning out outside of wichita
As disappointing as this season started with a whole new team their record so far is slightly ahead of last year with all of the 'great ' players that transferred. Too little too late but vast improvements from the start of the year

Doesnt take much to improve when you start off the year losing to SWAC teams at home.

Qua Grant was given ample opportunity at Wichita State and, while showing some flashes of good play, did not live up to expectations. Happy to see him find success elsewhere!

This the one reason why I don't want to get rid of Hunter. He's in a situation that destroys most other coaches.

Agree, other than your typically dreary, exhausting, outlook on everything Tulane. The Hunter ankle biters are dunces, but they are few and far between. The program is on the move with some excellent players.

The Tulane “situation” that you speak of is not really a thing, except for old defeatist boat anchors who don’t understand that there’s a dynamic with the new rules in college hoops that can turn programs around in a snap. Kind of like what’s going on at Tulane.

Is that situation a football deal too, because that’s a much harder nut to crack? Remind me though, who finished 9th in the AP poll this year?

Most basketball coaches don't know how to win here. Hunter is slowly turning the corner and figuring it out - even though he needs to emphasize rebounding.

The biggest anchor Tulane had was Cowen. End of story. Haven't you noticed how this thing is coming around now that he's fully out of the Tulane system? It's hard for alumni, students, and fans to buy in when your president at one point wanted to destroy the athletic department.

I'm cynical mostly because I went to school at the absolute LOW point for Tulane athletics. I have trust issues as a result.

Here is a wild stat:
In conference play UC has the #1 defense, not Houston. It’s #1 in Defensive eFG%, #1 in defensive rebounding %, #1 in 2pt% defense and #3 In 3pt FG% defense.

UC is 4th in offense and 2nd best 3pt % shooting team in league play.

UC is doing the opposite of last season and getting better and better game by game. If they stay healthy, I truly think they could be a bid stealer in the AAC Tourney.

I like UC to win at least one in the NIT. I’m on the bandwagon for sure.
