Miami Field Hockey
Miami has won both the MAC regular season and conference tournamant for the last 6 years ( Covid cancelled the 2020 conference tourney). Today we won our first round NCAA tournament game over Rider; for the second consecutive year we are advancing to the round of 16. We play the defending National Champion Northwestern Wildcats in Evanston on Friday. We have reached this level 3 or 4 times previously, but never advanced to the regional final. We lost to NW 3-1 in Oxford a couple of weeks ago.

RE: Miami Field Hockey
For the second year in a row we lost the round of 16 game in the final seconds. Last year we lost at Michigan when they scored with 2 seconds to go. This year we were tied with Northwestern after two OT's and the shootout was 3-3 but they did a referal ( video review) and called an illegal hit on our last goal and we lost the shootout 3-2.
