Really excited about this game. Toledo is a good team and it will make us better to face them win or lose. Obviously want to win but we need a good test.

The key to the game, to me, is can our big guys stay out of foul trouble against their two big forwards. I know we have a little more depth on the front line, but I suspect we will need every one of them.

I'm excited about this game also. I really want to see how this team performs against good competition. I expect a competitive game but I think it is one we should win, even though I know very little about Toledo basketball. A loss certainly wouldn't be catastrophic to this team this early in the season but it would be a huge let down.

It's going to be different. The Barstool sports guys are doing the play by play and color, and are being upfront about the bets they have on the game and the rooting interests they have as a result lol.

Toledo primer:

They are a very high scoring team, and play a lot of 5-out and 4-out sets and plays off them that make them hard to guard. They are a bit undersized, but very athletic and a matchup nightmare. Their "center" is a 6'7 dude that shoots over 40% from 3.

Well...not a bad start.

We have started out pretty darn good. Playing good D and turning them over. Gaines has 3 turnovers - he's very loose with the ball.

UAB up 11-6 at the under 16 timeout.
