WMU - 32
NIU - 17

Another ugly game to add to the collection.

If Nevan balls out and the defense hangs tough like it has the last three weeks, I feel good about this game. Think Hammock trusts his new QB and will give him many chances like he did last week. If the the other receivers not named Tuck and Rutk don’t screw him over Nevan gives the NIU fan base renewed optimism.
NIU 34, WMU 24

I am onboard with what Badmoodrising13 said. I was encouraged by Nevan's play last week but one source of concern is that a mother of one of the NIU players posted on Facebook that we have some additional injuries to some key players. If that is the case it will be difficult to overcome.

Another disturbing comment that she made was that although NIU players have disciplined and tough practices they do not have an appropriate emphasis on diet and nutrition. They are primarily offered junk food to eat ... if this is the case, and I suspect that it is, it is sad and an indictment of NIU athletics because if it is true for football it might be true for the other sports as well. Come on AD Frazier you can do better.

We’ll, we know he’s not feeding them hot dogs!

There was a fundraising campaign for a training and nutrition center for the players last Spring. So, where has that gone? I donated a large hunk of money to that and have had no reports of what’s going on. Then again, they have my money so why should they tell us donors anything?

Cole Tucker was in clear pain. I think he had a dislocated finger because he was holding his hand and making a pretty big deal. Then he came back into the game a few minutes later.

Cremascoli at QB, Lomax and Fletcher as backups. Lynch is not it, or they'd have let him pass like Cremascoli.

The training facility received a major upgrade due in part to Northwestern Medicine and the Nutrition Center was built due to one of our fraternities. You donated to an expanded eating facility whose final design is in the works and dependent on final funds available.

QBs are listed as Lynch or Cremascoli but I imagine that’s just another devious ploy by Hammock to confuse the opponent. Maybe Lynch comes in on a few short yardage situations.

Valcarcel getting his first shot at back up safety. He is of course is another transfer.

Lomax is Lomax. My bad spelling (or this crazy correct-it spelling thing my browser snuck in here. Or me.)

I'm getting tired of Hammock's devious ploys. Like the one where always going for it on 4th is actually going to work. Just start Cremascoli and be done with it.

Lomax should get a few reps if he’s healthy. Lynch doesn’t need reps. He is what he is. Cremascoli needs all the reps he can get but a few here and there for Lomax isn’t going to hurt his development for next year. Hammock has used all kinds of different players at safety and Husky, don’t know why he wouldn’t try it at the one position that has the most question marks.

In the pre-WMU game presser, Hammock mentioned utilizing the 4 game window for red-shirts and getting guys in-game work. However, he did say that he wasn't interested in burning any redshirts so anyone who may qualify and are out of games (I have no clue who that would be), won't be playing.

So, I wouldn't be surprised to see Lomax come in for some plays at some point in the near future.

Huskies win - Strongly feel we have the players on D, but the coaching on that side is off. I like waht I see from players. Ray Thomas, Devonta, and I like the safety #23 White. Byrd? He can fly, but damn line the kid up right. 7 or 8 yd cushion is ridiculous. ( someone else has been point this out as well, Big Chiila or rabid)

They were pointing that out in the Bucs/rams game last night. The DBs were 8-10 yards off the WRs every snap. It seems to be the “latest thing” as far as defenses go. The difference is NFL corners close that distance almost immediately when the QB starts his throw their way. I just don’t think our corners are aggressive enough. Whether they lack the athleticism or the confidence idk, but it doesn’t work for this group.

Injuries aside...most Moms complain (either openly or in secret) about their 21 year old son's diet! and haircut...and sleep patterns...and some of the guys he hangs out with...and no don't pursue that girl please...and stay away from so and so...and...why can't you be more like your older brother...and those jeans look awful on you...and....or was this just me?
