His buyout is $750,000 this year and next. That's not to crazy.

IMHO I think the Miami administration knows their ceiling is to win 8 games and win the MAC (possibly 9 if a game against a beatable team like Northwestern, Vandy or BC is on the OOC schedule). Chuck fits that bill and he is not a flight risk like a young, up and comer who would bail for the next big thing. Therefore they are probably going to stay the course until the buyout moves to zero in 2024.
