Alex Golesh Blade article
Very interesting Blade article on the OC for Tennessee, Alex Golesh. Sounds like he loved his stay in Toledo. Ends the article saying, "The first score I look for every Saturday night is Toledo". Might be something to remember for Bryan B when he needs a new HC. Have to save our pennies cause I'm guessing it might take some $$$$.

Forget that. We need to get down to the 500-600K range.

It may take more money than what Candle is receiving now. The standard at UT is now set, can be going backwards to what ever the head coach at UT was receiving prior to Candle.

I meant Can't be going backwards, instead of "going backwards"

RE: Alex Golesh Blade article
I seem to remember there was not all that much fondness for Golesh when he was here with Beckman - or was that only when he left with Beckman? He was pretty young back then - don't remember if he came in as a coach or a grad assistant. Beckman must have thought enough of him to bring him along over to Illinois. Must have kept a connection with Campbell as well, because that kept him employed after Beckman was shown the door - I assume that is how he ended up at Iowa State.

I do like that he made that comment about looking for the Toledo score. He may be looking for that head coaching opportunity and he probably also knows Candle is under fire and doesn't have an extension beyond next year.

The way its going, Saban may be available again.... Just monitor the pitch fork sales down in Tuscaloosa.

Candle was awarded for the MACC - next HC should remain near top of new HC in MAC, those without a MACC - say $800,000

That price range you will end up with Kujo or Kehres and me personally I am fine bringing in either one of those 2 as the new head coach.
