Are they? I thought the at large bids for field hockey were really limited and the ACC had a monopoly on those. Or is that women's lacross?

You're correct (Big 10 and ACC split the at larges). I wouldn't hold your breath and note that UConn is hosting the Final 4.

ODU finished ranked 16th in RPI.

These are the at-larges and their RPI rank:
Iowa 10
Louisville 11
Maryland 2
Northwestern 3
Penn State 5
Syracuse 9
Virginia 6
Wake Forest 13

Harvard is the school that probably has the best argument for inclusion with an RPI of 12, better than Wake Forest. UVA and Syracuse look like teams that don't belong in the field, despite their high RPI they both had losing records on the road.

I think it was last year where they had the bigger argument. I think they beat UVA twice and UVA got the at large.

Looking back on how last year unfolded and comparing the outcomes from last year and this year, I agree with you. Close (again) but no cigar.

Soccer is headed to UNC for a first round match!

Ladies lose 5-0. Honestly not surprised. I knew it was going to be rough against basically the best women's college soccer team in the last 20 years lol

Tough draw for the Women's Soccer Team in the NCAA Tournament. But, they had a great season. How are they looking for next season ?
