We have a boatlioad of size and quickness but really don't have any scorers besides Phillips. Keatts emphasized recruiting scorers, regardless of size, and used the press to cover up their defensive liabilities. Siddle needs to find some scorers. I'd like to see Ross come in the game and see what he can do.

This defensive showing is very promising.

Hopefully this offense can get in a better flow with more reps

No matter what, we are going to be hell on defense and on the boards.

We really needed something from Harvery tonight and got nothing.

You clearly haven't been paying attention in the exhibition and tonight. His jumper is DRAMATICALLY improved and if he can score with these guys all over him that bodes well for conference play. I agree, we need more, but I think White it going to be great this year and beyond and only getting better

Hawks' can get to the bucket but the Heels just have too much size overall to defend the drive. Won't have that problem in the CAA. After tonight i'm feeling really good about this team. We're going to contend for a CAA championship and we may pull off an OOC upset against OK or UConn,

He's 1-4 from three. Maybe he'll get better but I don't see that as his game. Nothing wrong with being a guy who scores off rebounds and on the drive, but we just do not have "that guy" who can get must have points.

Van DHH finally hits a three. We really need to incorporate him in our offense. He is a guy who can light it up from three.

Oklahoma lost tonight to a solid Sam Houston St program. They appear to be winnable

Holding the Heels to 69 points is one hell of an accomplishment.

As we should expect, defense was ahead of offense and it was pretty damned good. If we can improve on offense we're going to be hard to beat.

Newby looked better than the other night but 1-6 from three and 2-10 from the field really hurt us. Nobody really shot well but we did get to the FT line in the second half. White gained confidence as the game went on and he realized he could get to the basket. He was the only one that really stood out, Seemed iike Phillips sat a lot in the second half. Great distribution of minutes that would have been better excpet foul trouble. Didn't matter too much because we are DEEP.

Nobody shot well, that was my point. White is a fantastic player, rebounds well, defends and gets points but he is not a lights out scorer. I don't know if we have that on the team.

When I say we don't have a "scorer" think Chris Flemmings, CJ Bryce, TJ Carter. Guys who could create and get their shots and points in many different ways. These were guys who could hit a three in your face, drive and hit an elbow jumper and then could get to the basket and finish. Phillips is the closest we have to that except he really isn't a three point threat. I'm talking guys who you want the ball in their hands with 10 seconds left in the game and a two pointer wins it. I don't think you put the ball in the hands of White at the end of a game expecting him to iso and get the must have bucket. Again, he's fantastic on the court and helps us win, but he isn't that guy.

I think Ross has that type of offensive game and could be that additional scorer, but Siddle didn't want him on the court against a team like Carolina where it could ruin his confidence if he didn't play well.

Well, I was on the button for our offensive output but our defense exceeded my expectations. 16 of our 33 points in the second half came from the FT line. Hopefully our offense improves as we figure out our rotations and figure out how to get our scorers open.

I thought we played excellent defense and rebounded it very well last night. Our offense should improve over time and UNC is difficult to score on.

If the Hawks can hang with #1 UNC, I feel like any game is now winnable.
