Wait... did the committee think this was UNC instead of Louisville?

The problems were two coaches ago.

It’s about time. The NCAA is either tired of making Louisville its personal b*tch or they’re afraid someone from Louisville would file another lawsuit and win again.

Truth is outsiders (with interests in Frankfort and Lexington) on UofL’s BOT wanted to destroy the athletic department and used this BS as a reason to do it.

You don’t beat up on the SEC’s Florida in the Sugar Bowl, play for the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships. Win the men’s tournament and then send a baseball team to Omaha all in the same season without making powerful enemies with red neck racists in Frankfort and on not face retribution.

Kentucky is the most backward state in the country. Louisville is the state’s economic engine and the morons in the state capital can’t separate economics from basketball.

Thank goodness for Arkansas and West Virginia

I think that this time around we hired the attorneys that handled the UNC case.

So ... the committee could have crapped their pants when they saw who was refuting their case.

But in all seriousness, this wasn't "the committee". The IARP is wholly independent, and unlike the committee, didn't take hearsay or speculation as absolute fact.

I understand now why the NCAA is moving away from the IARP. It's much easier for them to be the prosecution AND jury.

The media act as though this was a slap on the wrist for Louisville but what really happened was Louisville probably lost over 100 million in lost revenue during the four years they had us under their thumb. We would have been better off if they had had given us post season ban for two years and restricted scholarships for two years and fined us and got it over with. As it was they made it difficult to recruiters any top players or coaches so in effect they were punishing us severely by just dragging it on for as long as they could.
