Shhhhh. Don't interrupt wonderland message board scenarios with little-to-no chance of happening based on an unverified Twitter account with almost no followers.

Excuse me while I go tweet a rumor of Ohio State considering the SEC.

Ohh I think I heard about that. That Ohio state was the only school preventing the BigEast from merging to the Big10.

Once they leave, Marquette and the rest are free and clear for their invites : )

How could any conference commissioner be worse than Beebee? When Beebee took over the Big 12, most people probably would have perceived the Big 12 as being the second best positioned conference behind the SEC, and probably no worse positioned than the Big 10. (Which was just about to start up the Big Ten Network.)

Then the Big 12 almost collapsed twice in his four years as commissioner. The main conference that nearly caused the collapse was the PAC, even though I'm pretty sure that most people in 2007-09 would have thought that the Big 12 raiding the PAC would have been more likely (or at least less unlikely) than the other way around.

The TV deal with FOX for tier 2 signed just before he arrived killed his options honestly. That's what killed the revenue comparisons. Signing an old school deal right as the BTN resets the tier 2 market killed them.

Gonzaga to the Big 12 just doesn't make sense to me. The Big 12 is arguably the best basketball conference already and Spokane would be on an island. I'm guessing Yormark will see how things shake out with the PAC first before we hear any news one way or the other.

I'm sure the networks want to increase the media value of Gonzaga by associating it with a premier basketball conference but, honestly, I think it would fall very very low on their list of priorities at the moment.

Why on God's green earth would the Big East want to get back in bed with football schools

Thats what Im thinking. Gonzaga to the B12 is intriguing----but it only makes sense as part of a splashy western expansion involving several Pac12 teams.

They already have, granted that team is not in the Big East for football (nor is anyone else for that matter).

One word: money.

If the money is right they’ll do what they have to do. But I have a hard time believing the money is right to make that move.

No, what killed the big 12 was A&M and Texas' wandering eyes. Nebraska wouldn't have joined the B1G if they felt that the big 12 was stable long term, and no other dominos would have fallen. I'm not very proud of how everything went down, though I'm very happy at where we ended up.

You ever see FakeDanBeebe on twitter? It's pretty funny. Looks like he's mostly inactive now though.

None of the four Big East schools which play football regularly schedule one another.

A fifth school is kicking the tires on the idea.

The rumor i heard is that the Creighton, Marquette and Depaul to B12
Georgetown Xavier St Johns to ACC (obviously with ND)
Villanova Providence and Uconn to B1G (the last 2 bring hockey)
Seton Hall to the A10
Butler to either the A10 or MVC
