I would say between 1500-2000 fans here tonight to watch a nothing game.

Agree. The ESPN3 guy said the place was 'jam packed' and I said, "What???" How about 1/2 full.

Golson worked on that jumper this summer.

I don't know what's worse the play or the announcers on ESPN3 (they are OUR guys). Two straight EMU steals and they did NOT mention who stole the play.

When I watch a game I don't want to hear a podcast superimposed over a webcast.

“Coach’s decision” for why Emoni isn’t playing, per Woolley. Ominous, to say the least.

We finally turned the defense up. Lovejoy looks to have a REALLY high ceiling for on-ball defense. He’s quick and aggressive.

They said Emoni is not playing because it's a coach's decision. There's got to be more to it than that. You don't sit your five-star recruit when people paid for tickets to watch him play. Is this a one-game suspension related to his arrest?

I tweeted that to Vanneze. That would be my guess, but I have NO knowledge. Just a guess.

I swear watching the game I don't think our crew has the player rosters in front of them. If I watch the 2nd half I'll need to print out the roster.

Ryan is really have trouble with names. He seems like he hasn't seen them before.

Acuff really struggled in that first half. I liked what I saw from Billingsley on both ends. Lovejoy will be a pest on defense.

Not much else worth mentioning. The talent disparity is evident when Wayne State has the ball.

He hasn't. Lot of second and third string players. 07-coffee3

if this is for the arrest, why suspend him for a regular season game and not the exhibition?

Maybe this is the consequence for Emoni wearing the unlicensed Nike warmup for the exhibition?

Seems minor but I’m sure adidas wasn’t very happy about that.

Always has. It sucks at Rynearson and in the parking lots too.

I’ve always defended our broadcasts and particularly like Wooley.

Tonight’s broadcast was not good. Everything mentioned above was spot on. Wooley can get off the tracks a time or two but is usually great about the game back into focus. Justin Rose likes hearing himself talk and is ready to podcast on the air. This game wasn’t enough of a blow out to go off the rails like it did.

Listed attendance was 4,677. It wasn't that high, but it was a large crowd and had a buzz in the building. At least 2,000, maybe 2,500 or more.

Student section wasn't standing but had fun and made noise. Which beats the usual crickets that come from the student section each year until the pep band shows up in January.

For it to be 2500 every seat in the lower section and handicapped must be filled. I will agree it was between 1500-2000 though which is probably one of the top 20. Once Volleyball got 1700 for a home tournament game.
On another note money was there. Many were in the Game above sweet. Yes I sit right next to it. No I didn't rub elbows with any but knew a couple of them.

Both Ryan and Justin seemed to forget last year's crowd for the George Gervin game was enormous.

That said: at various times of showing the crowd it did look like a good one. Were they allowing people in the upper bowl? Saw a picture or two from the exhibition that definitely had three open sections at midcourt upstairs.

Whether we're talking 1500-2500 or 4000, it's ALL better than the crowds we were seeing from like 2015-2020.
