RE: B12 May Have Slammed the Door Shut on Further G5 Additions

How does that work for a potential non-FB member like Gonzaga? The WCC is not a P5 league.
Gonzaga would only receive BB share anyways. They don't have FB. Adding them would be pretty cheap in comparison to a All sports member. ESpn and Fox wouldn't have to add that much to the pie.

RE: B12 May Have Slammed the Door Shut on Further G5 Additions
I don't know if we can say anything definitive yet about what exactly will be specified in the contract language. We also can't say what conversations the Big 12 had with ESPN and FOX before the general terms of the deal were announced. One thing I believe we can take to the bank is that there were, in fact, such conversations. Both sides would have shared, at least in broad terms, what their expectations and preferences would be vis-a-vis further expansion.
So if there is a clause that says the Big 12 can add any P5 school up to x-number of schools and get paid pro rata, that expectation likely is that "but you better not add Boston College or Wake Forest, or anything that we add to this contract will be subtracted from the next one. So choose wisely."
I assume all the parties realize that the Big Ten could quickly change the game again, and that nobody else is likely to pull the trigger on further expansion until they make their intentions known.
