I agree! Let's also put Desjuan Johnson in the wildcat! And Dyonte Johnson! And Thomas Cluckey!

Well, we already used Culpepper to get a 4th and 1 conversion, so they are all waiting their turn... Cluckey can run the "nerd up the middle"

I would give Coach Candle a raise for running some classic plays. An oldies game.

oh yes...a little history there...a lot of friends, former teammates, and former opponents on the other sideline...yesterday was fun

He's balling! Dylan and I have been cheering him on from afar.

His nickname should be "The Closer". Closed out the last two games - with around 1:30 left in the game and 1 score leads - with picks. Also describes his closing speed on receivers and rushers - that also ends badly for them. And he's only a soph.

We have to have the best set of defensive backs that I can ever remember at UT. McDonald, Mitchell, Delancy, and Fuller at CB with Ford, Hook, and Bauer at the safety spots. And they are all back next year - hopefully no portal bail outs.

I’m worried about loosing Tucker. He showed he can lead this offense. But he’s not helping us on the bench either.

Totally agree. Toledo’s secondary unit is the best I remember. Very solid group.

During the game he missed he was a wild man on the sidelines. Huge energy.

Quinyon Mitchell is currently the #1 graded CB in all of college football by PFF.

I seem to recall he lost one INT against Ball St because of an offside on the D. That series in which the D imploded, gave away 3 1st downs on penalties leading to a BSU TD. One on consecutive off-sides.

Correct. He also had another INT called back at Eastern Michigan due to a roughing the passer call. Pinned it to his helmet.

RE: Ball State
I wonder what kind of recruiting class Candle will bring in for year 2023 ? As for the next game with BGSU, perhaps Candle will experiment different type of offensive plays that can be run. I think also, if Finn is healthy enough, Finn starts against BGSU, I think he would love to play against a rival. Would like to see UT take a commanding lead at halftime, so Gleason and other non starters can get into the game. How many walk-ons does UT have ? Would love to see some of these players play in a mop up role if it materializes in the last 2 games.

Ankle injuries can be fickle. Easy to think you are 80-90%, and the next thing you know, you tweak it and are back to "square one".
