This is the reason players love BV. He did what is best for the players. These players become men this year. There were a lot of mistakes, alot. I appreciate what he did this year. He deserves more time. Will he get it that’s to be determined. He gets the players and they love him. He is only the third coach to ever get UAB to a Bowl game

Honest question, what makes you think he deserves more time? Is it a coaching reason, a player exodus reason, a recruiting reason, something else? I’m just curious.

No coach has done less with more in our history than BV this year.

That season was a benchmark that I hope we never suffer through again.

Most of the names left in contention are underwhelming. But, there is a mystery candidate no one is talking about. Let’s hope this guy is a home run.

No names, y’all can do the math on who is left. Reports on who has dropped out are accurate in this thread. Just guessing I know nothing like Shultz....

One thing is for sure, Mark Freeman could recruit very well here, and he'd have a modern day offense. Growing up in Fairfield, he knows the landscape.

It was my understanding that the AD listed prior experience as a D1 coach as a “must have”.

I’d like to get him on staff as the OC who is left to do whatever he wants with his offense. Give him a few years and see how it works out. We should be above hiring a HS coach at this point.

I would say there is a 99.99999999999999999999% chance that the mystery candidate is not a current HS coach.

Yeah....were not hiring someone straight from HS.

It really sucked that the starting PG Tore his ACL in the first game of the season and received a medical redshirt. Devastating. Never really recovered from that loss. Was a disappointing season for sure.
