The train wreck is just starting under this Biden* Administration.

I can only imagine how bad things turn over the next generation as the largest workforce ever (Boomers) fully retires. In nearly every workplace, a lot of experience and knowledge is walking out the door when Boomers retire. That is the reason many Boomers who retired are being hired at really great salaries for what is basically P/T support jobs. And the vast majority of them are WFH (or, more appropriately, "work from small town, USA" or "work from Bahamas" or WHEREVER we choose to live in retirement).

I anticipate the actual collapse of the USA around 2060; give or take 5 years. It will require a state driven constitutional convention AND mandate 37 states voting to disband the USA but the impetus will REALLY be there around 40 years from now.

America has several decades of pain to endure until it realizes the solution is "to pull the plug".

What evolves from that ending of the USA is what I refer to as the North American Union (NAU).

The USA was an absolutely fabulous concept but the founding fathers never intended the mind-blowing abuses we see today in America - in both the private and public sectors. The United States has enjoyed a fantastic 246 year run, but this country will NOT celebrate a tricentennial in 2076. Major change is inevitable.

With narrow control of the HOR, republicans should be able to push back against the worst excesses of the left. At the same time, the USA tendency to over-blame the president for everything could have the democrats in a very untenable position by 2024. And with the vast majority of senate seats standing for re-election (the residue from 2018), republicans could be set up to take a commanding position--white house plus supermajorities in senate and HOR.
