Looks like Schlee is back, but Cephas is out

Make that 13-0 off a Schlee to Walker TD pass. Nice start, but after that start to the Toledo game I have to temper my enthusiasm and hope the D shows up. End of the first quarter it’s 13-0 good guys.

RE: 2022 Football Week 9 vs Balls Tate
And now down 14-13 inside 5 minutes.

So we fair catch the kick at the 3 and get the ball there instead of the 25?!? Ref said a player other than the returner made the signal, when have you ever seen such an act or call? 03-banghead

QB gets his pass batted down so he throws it again, penalty takes us out of range and forces a punt to stall our drive. Why do we continuously invent dumb/obscure ways to shoot ourself in the foot?

RE: 2022 Football Week 9 vs Balls Tate
Defense bent but didn’t break there, FG to make it 17-13, so again another lead squandered. Need to make some adjustments and stops out there in the 2nd half.

Now 20-13, only one possession, but game seems to be slipping away, offense needs to quit sputtering.

Another penalty to halt us, another missed FG. With Cephas and Walker out who will step up in the receiving game?

Weekly Reminder that Cooper on 3rd and 1 in redzone is not a good option.

Edit: Neither is 4th and 1

Going to need a big play on D or special teams to provide the spark needed.

Isn’t Bradford the bowling ball you throw out there on short yardage?

Floriea has been a bright spot on punt returns.

Why do you slide when you need the 1st?!? Appropriate ending to a rough night on spots and measurements. 03-banghead

That was rough to watch. I understand he wasn't 100% but that's no excuse for mental mistakes. He almost cost us a first down sliding at the sticks on the drive before. Gotta wonder if anyone on the sideline made sure he realized how close it was. Doesn't seem like it since he did it again to end any chance.

Really frustrating team. When the offense is working, the defense can't stop anything. When the defense plays good enough to win the offense doesn't. Let's just hope we can put together something to build on heading into the off season in these last three games.

Was in this same spot in 2019 (Frisco year) and play 2 of the same opponents (EMU and UB)

Fourth down with the series, drive, game and bowl hopes on the line you slide and not ensure you pick up the 1st down?!? SMH. Certainly not reminiscent of Edelman going all out for that 1st down on 3rd and long against Buffalo years ago and dragging defenders, pick up at 2:25

I would put it on the coaches. I think absolutely NOBODY coached him up after the first slide. Truthfully, I don't think he reached the line to gain on that one, but the official marked it and said move the chains.

RE: 2022 Football Week 9 vs Balls Tate
The slide in general is awful. When 15 yard penalties and/or targeting calls are made on sliding QBs one must ask themselves....WITAF?!

So you are telling me that the defender needs to anticipate the slide, adjust his decision to make a play on the ball carrier and somehow stop himself mid tackle so he doesn't hit what used to be the ball carriers torso.

The slide and the stretch four are useless.
