No but they encourage appointees at the FED and other places to create smoke and mirrors to deny their impact. It's still a matter of an old fool pulling levers and shouting "I am the great and powerful Oz!" And for those slow on the uptake, not necessarily you Tom, it's called B.S. and has nothing to do with the reality of a 30% rise in the cost of many grocery items, or the rise in heating oil and gas, all of which are conveniently excluded from the CORE inflation rates the same dipsheisse politicos create for cover.
