Saw where Bostocks will be closing its doors for good October 31st.

I don’t know how others feel, but I am sad. Granted I haven’t been in there in 20+ years, but I did spend a lot of my time and money in there.

Hopefully another fun place will go in there as they have a great location. And I guess this means I’m getting old.

Thank you Bostocks for some great memories and on a couple of occasions, as I was told later, great times were had by all.

Pretty much everything in that little strip center will be closing down. Apparently someone bought out all the buildings, and is planning to tear everything down. Don’t know who bought it or what they are planning to replace it with. Almost certain Tarleton is involved. Pretty sad, but it’s part of the process of modernization Tarleton is wanting to go through.

There is Montana’s and McDonalds on one side of the strip stores and a coffee shop and Barefoot Athletics. Is everything going away? Also maybe the best restaurant in town is Big O’s next to Bostocks. Hopefully BO’s will find a new home.

Pretty sure I passed out in a bathroom at Bostocks before.

I have heard that the gas station and both floors of the strip center have been bought out, and that Tarleton is not involved in the buying and selling of them. Haven't heard who bought them or what the plan is for that area though. Someone mentioned that it was going to be housing/parking garage for Tarleton, but that is not accurate as Tarleton is currently in the process of purchasing The Edge apartments that were recently built on Washington.

Nickel Shiners were the downfall of my Sophomore year.... great bar... sad to see it go.
