Tell them to stop looking for a unicorn. They've gone through 26 QBs in 22 years. 50% of the super bowls in that timeframe have been won by non-elite quarterbacks. It's a team sport; Heinicke gives you a chance to win and he's cheap.

I had a moment of clarity last night watching the game, if you told me that while I was at ODU watching him sling the ball around that he would one day be the starter for my favorite NFL team the skins/football team/commanders years down the line (especially after having 2 football careers essentially ended with the NFL and XFL) I would have been skeptic but ecstatic. It is a bit surreal having literally watched him from the start, coming in in relief of DeMarco against UMass. What NFL fans are calling the Legend of Taylor Heinicke in reality did not start against the Bucs, but started back in 2011 and we've been able to watch ODU's greatest product grow from a third string unknown to a college football legend and record breaker, to NFL starter. It really is a cool thing to think about

Last time I remember them coming back was in 2002 or 03, maybe 04. They chucked a 4th quarter bomb to Santana Moss, onside kick recovered, and scored a second TD in less than a minute, or something like that, to beat the Cowgirls. It was amazing

My Steelers are 2-6 and got smoked yesterday by Philly, and my Monarchs are 3-5. This run by Taylor is good medicine for me right now. Watching his final game winning drive was gratifying. Kind of felt like our last drive to beat VT.

Well sure. Also why no P5s made him an offer. Interesting that Stetson Bennett won a National Championship while being from the same state as TH (GA) and playing for a P5 in the same state. Bennett is essentially the same size at TH.

FWIW, Bennett was a walk on at Georgia and is not considered a strong NFL prospect.

He sounds similar in some ways to Taylor.

I just read that hes 25. The NFL is not gonna like that.

Very questionable defensive strategy by Rivera there. Lose by 3 or lose by 7 who cares? It’s under the two minute warning and the opponent is inside your 10. Why not let them score the TD and leave the offense some time?

The offense was not trying to score. They were just running out the time.
