Always an extreme take. But they just can’t make up their minds as to which extreme. Of course, with anything Russia related, somewhere in the middle isn’t an option as it doesn’t sell papers as well.

Here’s a classic from a pretty reputable source. It’s a well written article from a clear thinker, but he does have to address the extremes that are out there. https://thehill.com/opinion/internationa...ic-genius/

But it’s not always the medias fault entirely. US statecraft is 3rd world level and instead of professionals, many positions are simply political appointees who knew the right person and were in the right party. Military intelligence is much better, but the State Department clowns and think tank industry are a total embarrassment to the country. Completely unprofessional.

And because of that, the media can only print what they are fed from their sources.

Spin your propaganda all you want. It falls on deaf ears for the most part. Americans are struggling enough and couldn't tell you where Russia or Ukraine is on a map. They simply don't care.

Another contradiction—an opinion that is not approved. As shocking as it may seem, many Russians want to be a part of Russia! Quick, watch it before it’s censored lol.

lol---her reason? So the war will end. Not surprising that some who live there just want the Russian Orcs to stop killing and bombing everything in sight.

Those are not contradictions.

Have you ever met an expert strategist? They tend to rely a lot on emotions because emotions are extremely informative to any expert.

The counterexample is given in a case study of a patient of UCLA neuroscientist Dr. Antonio Damasio. This patient had a tumor that took away the emotion-processing part of the brain. The patient ("Elliot") was coldly rational, but otherwise perfectly normal.

The most astounding outcome of this patient was that he couldn't make decisions. This is because decision-making is an emotional process.

RE: Russian employment and other contradictions
So I read that Russians are retreating from Kherson. But I keep reading how behind every Russian soldier is another waiting to shoot him if he retreats. Let me guess, it’s somehow both—-all according to “unnamed Ukrainian sources”

I also read that is a trap and Ukraine isn’t falling for it, and that they are also already there. “Unnamed sources” I’m sure both opposites are true.

Either way, I’m sure it “proves” Ukraine is winning.

PS: Keep sending cash.

Except.... Russia announced they are retreating. The Kremlin said it so apparently you must agree now, comrade.

RE: Russian employment and other contradictions
Quote:Russia’s economy contracted for the second quarter in a row as the western response to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine helped plunge the economy into recession.

Russia’s gross domestic product fell by 4 per cent year-on-year in the three months to October, according to preliminary data released by the federal statistics service Rosstat.

The contraction follows sweeping restrictions from the US and Europe on Russia’s energy and financial sectors, including a block on half of the central bank’s $640bn in foreign exchange reserves. About 1,000 western companies followed suit, curtailing their Russian operations, while hundreds of thousands of people left the country after president Vladimir Putin mobilised the army’s reserves in September.

This is the second consecutive fall after the Russian economy fell 4.1 per cent year-on-year in the previous quarter. However, it was better than the 7 per cent contraction that Russia’s central bank forecast for the third quarter in July.
