This article indicates Wagner has re-jiggered their 23 schedule, adding a game against Navy, on the day they were supposed to play Toledo, and they have too many games now anyway, so the one with UT is in jeopardy.

Folks will probably be happy to see an FCS game fall off the schedule, but at this late date, who will UT be able to find to replace them?

Theyre an HBCU. 2-4 this year in the SWAC. Pretty good league honestly.

I've been screaming for this connection on these boards for several years, since we decided to go on the FCS roll. Texas Southern isn't one I had on my radar but cool. Happy me. Hell, I'd try to get a 2 for one, give the team a trip to Houston. TSU plays in a decent sized stadium.

So would just about everyone else since Deion became coach. I imagine that ship has not only sailed but negated the whole point. TSU is a good get. Large enrollment, nearing its 100th year and a major metropolitan. They bring an interesting (to me) perspective to the history of some HBCUs as they were a public, created at the same time as the "white" college that eventually became University of Houston.

Might as well just play one of the Catholic schools in Toledo

I am curious-what is it about the profile of any college that related to playing them in football??

Said this before, I would love to see one of the N. Dakota schools play in the glass bowl. Then again, I don't know if the Rockets would want the Bison in the Glass bowl. The Bison who have won 9 national FCS national championships, having won it again in 2022. The Bison currently have 12 active NFL players that play for NDSU. The other school , North Dakota U. played at BGSU in 2016, losing 26-27.

Toledo has played some really good FCS schools and done well. Eastern Washington, and Coastal Carolina come to mind. A really good FCS school would be fine.
