I think it's going to be Texas - TCU. That will be the higher-ranked game (both TCU and Texas will likely be ranked ahead of Tulane and UCF) with much more national significance.

But I hope it will be Tulane.
They already were at Texas early in the season though, so that works against them.

Lately that doesn't seem to have mattered so much - they seem to have been at Tennessee every other week, LOL.

Plus, ESPN just signed a big extension with the nB12, and TCU will be a key player for them going forward, so they might want to spotlight them a bit.

But we'll see.

There were espn scouts and reps at Tulane. However there is noise online that ESPN has been getting clobbered on all the money they invested in longhorn network and there are mandates to continuing to shine as much attention on Texas via the ESPN etc as possible. Lame

Both TCU Texas and Oregon Washington make more sense due to the playoff implications

It was low probably for Tulane. It’s not a very big fan base and the game isn’t sold out.

At least its a Top25 matchup

Is anyone surprised? How else does a 6-3 Texas go from Unranked to 18 in the polls with a one score win over K State? It's their only good win. But they have 3 losses...

Losses are no good, but IMO we have to look at who you played. Sagarin, for example, says Texas has played the #7 toughest schedule in the country. Tulane's SOS is #96, far weaker.

So let's take the biased human pollsters out of it and turn things over to the computers via the Massey composite. What does it say?

Tulane .... 23 (AP 16)
UCF ........ 24 (AP 22)

TCU ........ 5 (AP 4)
Texas ..... 15 (AP 18)

So we see that Tulane and UCF are actually overrated by the AP voters, compared to the computers. AP has the game as a #16 vs #22 matchup, computers have it #23 vs #24. In contrast, the computers have the Texas game as a #5 vs #15 matchup vs #4 vs #18 for the AP.

So if anything, it seems IMO that the UCF/Tulane game is overrated by the AP, while the Texas/TCU game is slightly underrated.

Personally, I would have loved for GD to come to Tulane. I might have even driven down for it. But from a national POV, I think the Texas-TCU game is far more important.

What's more surprising still is the lack of any game on ABC yet. In recent years we've had 2-5 games on ABC (including AAC Championship of course). UCF vs Cincy should've been on ABC over Illinois vs whomever they played. Tulane vs UCF is also ABC worthy. Cincy vs Tulane has a shot coming up also.

Notre Dame at Navy will be ABC
Black Friday Tulane at Cincinnati still could be, as you say
CCG is scheduled on ABC

Texas is overated period.

Texas 6-3
OK State(unranked) is 6-3 and beat Texas
Baylor(unranked) 6-3
Kansas(unranked) 6-3
KSU 6-3 (19) lost to Texas

They are where they are because of their name.
