Yea, need to cover. Would like to see 18-22. I could see St Joe beating UGA, ranking be damned. I'd rather face an sorry ethics opponent because it just means more. LOL

I expect this game to be close.

If Vegas has us as 16 point favorites, we need to win the game by double digits. I'll have some major concerns if we struggle with a bad team. I'd also rather have a shot at Georgia in the second game. If we could beat Georgia, South Carolina, and WVU, that should help us some down the road.

USF will ugly up the game. They are every bit as athletic as we are. They just struggle to score. I will be happy to win by any score and won’t read anything more into it than W or L. Just win.

I have watched USF twice and yes they can ugly up a game. I suspect it will be a tight ballgame and we will blow it open after the first media timeout in the second half. We will get up by 20 and then they will make a late run to get it just at or under the line.

Just win.

If they want to ugly it up, just follow Toledo's script. Bait Jelly and Gaines into going 1 on 2 or 1 on 3 on every possession and take every other player out of the offense.

Gaines fairly quietly had a monster game against Presbyterian. I hope he doesn't revert back into the ball hog team killer that he was against Toledo. As much grief as we've given him, we need him to be great.

I watched USF against Auburn and they played a really good 30 minutes. They held a lead of 5-10 points for a good bit of the game but they just couldn’t score in the 2nd half when Auburn turned things up a notch. It was painful. Auburn eventually caught them and passed them with about 10 minutes to go, but USF really battled them.

The wheels have come off at Louisville. 0-4 and could be 0-5 after tomorrow.

BTW, FAU is 4-1 with a W over Florida, and Charlotte is 4-1 with a W over Boise State.

It was a very nice trip to Florida with two double-digit victories. UAB has moved up to 43 on the KenPom rankings. This is the highest ranking so far this season. UAB maxed out at 38 last season, finishing at 51.

South Florida is now 189, but is expected to only go 6-12 in the AAC.

Georgia is now 108, and is expected to go 5-13 in the SEC.

There is only one team projected to do worse in the SEC than Georgia - South Carolina.

KenPom currently has UAB at #36. That’s the highest ranking this season and during HCAK’s tenure here. Doesn’t mean we will still be #36 come Sunday’s game against South Alabama. BTW, #67 FAU clobbered #183 South Alabama by 25 points tonight. FAU was 10-16 (62.5%) from 3 tonight.

Toledo destroyed #81 Richmond tonight, 90-67. This knocked Richmond down to #98, and improved Toledo from #106 to #89.

25-6 and 16-4
It only gives a current ranking.

Warren Nolan still has us at 25-5 and 17-3.
If we find a way to win at WVU this year, that would be absolutely huge. Are quad 1 wins will likely be low again, and at the moment they look like they might be one.

Lunardi had us yesterday as his first team OUT of the tourney bubble.
