Whitlock loves to play devil's advocate. And he loves to do it as a black conservative, poking liberals with a stick. I happen to agree with most of his takes.

But Whitlock seems to be trying too hard to make a case against Deion. Yeah, the chains and "Coach Prime" are a bit much. But what is even more telling to me is that he was willing to go to Jackson friggin MS and coach at a HBCU for 3 seasons. And that he does actually try to mentor and lead these kids. And as far as actual coaching goes - that he's put together a nice little team in less than a year.

And with most college coaches - it's not all about the kids. Most of these guys have YUGE egos.

To me, Deion's sacrifice and winning speak louder than nicknames and chains.
