Cross Country October 15
This Saturday, the men's cross country team will compete at the Arturo Barrios Invitational at Texas A&M. The women will be sending a "B" team, as the "A" team heads to Stillwater to race the Weis-Crockett Invitational. Oklahoma State will be hosting the NCAA Championships in November, so it will be an opportunity for the team to test this challenging course.
Here are the men's teams scheduled for the Texas A&M meet, with regional ranking in parentheses:
TEXAS A&M (3)
TULANE (4)
ARKANSAS STATE (5)
INCARNATE WORD (6)
CENTRAL ARKANSAS (7)
RICE (8)
LSU (9)
LAMAR (10)
NEW ORLEANS (11)
LOUISIANA (12)
MCNEESE STATE (13)
UT ARLINGTON (14)
STEPHEN F. AUSTIN (15)
This is a LOADED field, even without the top 2 teams in the region: Arkansas (1) and Texas (2).
The men's 8K will begin at 9:00 a.m., while the women's 6K will start at 9:45.
Once I get more information on Oklahoma State's race, I will post it.

RE: Cross Country October 15
More at Texas A&M:
Florida - 9th in the South Region
Lipscomb - 13th in the South Region
Ohio State - 13th in the Great Lakes Region
Texas Tech - 15th in the Mountain Region
UTEP - not regionally ranked (Mountain Region), but one never knows when a Kenyan will show up.
NOTE: one big reason for the impressive field is that Texas A&M will be hosting the South Central Regional Championships on November 11.

Both men's and women's teams will compete at Texas A&M. Ignore the Oklahoma State information.

RE: Cross Country October 15
Women finished 14th (of 38), with a mostly "B" team, except for Taigen Hunter-Galvan.
Men were 20th (of 40), with mostly a "B" team, except for Travis Dowd and Davis Thames (who did not finish).
