I wish things like this could be known early :) I just checked and a mileage ticket on United to the Bahamas is 35,000 miles and $122.58 and a non-mileage ticket is $554.28.

That would be quite tempting :)

We used points/miles and a little bit for taxes/fees to get us to the Bahamas the last time we played in that bowl game. I suspect we would do it again, except that we need to renew our passport. And it would be nice to go down there and not get blown out this time. (Though, as we commented then, if you're going to lose, you would rather do it in the Bahamas than in Shreveport or Montgomery.)

If that's the case, you should renew passports immediately. Currently passport renewal is taking 7-10 weeks. That game is 9 weeks from Friday.

Yes, that's what I have heard from a few people who have gotten theirs renewed recently.

Wouldn’t mind taking on one of the premier Sun Belt teams. Also like the idea of playing a MW team in Hawaii.

I do like the possibility of the New Orleans Bowl, since it is not on a Saturday this year (because of where Christmas falls, I guess). Or Myrtle Beach would be a nice trip. But my preference would still be for us to win out and sneak into some higher-tier bowl against a better opponent, like we did last year.
