How will Coastal get it 100%? UCF and Tulane are ranked for the CFP and Coastal is not. If either one wins out, they will have further ranked wins. Coastal is not playing anyone ranked for the rest of the season and simply winning out will not suddenly get them ranked and jump UCF or Tulane should they win out because these two play each other and would have further ranked wins.

If Coastal goes 12-1, they will probably be ranked in the top 20 or top 25.

If UC, UCF, or Tulane loses another game, they might not be ranked, or might end up being ranked behind a 12-1 CCU team.

At best, Cincy/UCF can finish 11-2.

Moreover, either Tulane or UCF will lose the Tulane-UCF game, either Tulane or Cincy will lose the Tulane-Cincy game, and it's likely that one of these 3 teams will lose the AAC CCGame.

There's no telling who the NY6 G5 rep will be. "Loose ball..."

There's no world where an 11-2 AAC champ isn't ranked.

Y’all obviously ain’t never been to panicworld.

Not "panicworld" - - the term you're searching for is "suspenseworld."

.

...and then there were seven (or is it eight?)...

Tulane....8-1
Coastal...8-1
Liberty....8-1 (would have to finish in top 11 to qualify for a NY6 bowl)
UCF........7-2
Cincy......7-2
UTSA......7-2
Troy........7-2
So. Ala....7-2

plus an assortment of 6-3 (and a 5-2) team(s):

ECU (a mathematical possibility if they go 10-3)
Boise St. (could still finish 10-3)
Air Force (could still finish 10-3)
Wyoming (could still finish 10-3)
Toledo (could still finish 10-3)
Ohio U. (could still finish 10-3)
San Jose St. (5-2; could be 5-3 or 6-2) (could still finish 10-3)

If we're talking specifically about the G5 autobid, it's only 7. If Liberty finishes ranked high enough, they can get an at-large spot but it doesn't take away the G5 autobid.

Alot of fun "what if's" among those teams that make you think. What if:

-Tulane takes care of business against Southern Miss?
-Coastal Carolina doesn't get a random fluke loss at home/homecoming against one of the worst teams in the Sun Belt?
-Liberty converts the 2 point conversion at Wake Forest and wins overtime?
-UTSA wins the DO/DIE moments in triple overtime against Houston at week1? Or holds a 17-7 lead at Texas?
-Troy bats down a hail mary?
-Souther Alabama gets the 4th and 2 fake FG trick on UCLA and gets within 20 yards from a game winning TD?

Doesn't matter now obviously, but man we could've had an epic NY6 race this year.

ECU may win the AAC, but with three losses that would be bad for AAC chances of getting the NY6 bid.

No, it would be bad for the pride of any other league whose 1- or 2- loss champ ain’t getting picked over the AAC champs!!!

Thats 4 top 25 teams in AAC. And both Tulane and UCF in top 15. But "woulda coulda shoulda" is the nickname for the AAC. Heartbreak hotel.

We outgained USM 450 to 250 in total yards. They needed a tipped pick six, a blocked field goal and a block punt to squeak it out. It was their Super Bowl. Tulane would probably be #7 or something crazy in the CFP ranking

If you beat us at Nippert on Friday I will. Would snap your 4 game losing streak to us and first win @Cincy since 2001.

Unfortunately for y’all it’s Nip at Night on a Friday! Best of luck to y’all

Coastal shown to be a paper tiger. Down 40 - 7 going into 4th quarter.

So for all the talk of Sun Belt power, an FBS team is likely to win the league 03-lmfao03-lmfao

The AAC should truly just have a NY6 contract already. Can we stop this foolishness? The SBC and C-USA are overhyped FCS conferences and the MWC is a one school show that is falling behind. Enough already, give us the contract, we’ve had enough of this.

If y’all weren’t losing UCF/UC/UH, and if you weren’t replacing them with a bunch of backfill from CUSA, that might actually have happened.
