This was on the boardcast.

It was such an odd sequence, he hadn't hit a helmet. My cynicism had me thinking Finn took himself out so the other QB could get some time, particularly after that scene. Hopefully no cause other than old age.

So, it seems Troy Simon didn't play, which I guess confirms he is not on the roster anymore. Anyone know what happened with him?

DB room continues to get thinner. Good to see Delancy back, but now Hook is out. Any word on him? It looks like they may have blown the redshirts on some of the freshman DBs - Bowers & McNeil-Warren, so I guess they are available in a pinch.

Props for the win. I couldn’t follow the game so I can’t ***** about the coaching. Beating NIU on the road isn’t easy. If this results in a 6-2 or better MAC finish and a chance at a championship, then Candle deserves praise. Let’s see if we can be 7-2 heading into November

The game turned when their newish QB learned not to throw in Quinyon Marshal's direction. Definitely worth it if you can find the game on-line. I can't find highlights put out by Toledo but you can entertain yourself with NIU's version.

Unsurprisingly, Quinyon Mitchell names Walter Camp FBS Defensive Player of the Week.

2nd Rocket to earn such an honor since 2004. Anybody know the other (without looking it up). I didn't.

Junior Sylvestre is my guess. Guys like Molls are Archie Donald had some 18 tackle games. Maybe a Jayrone Eliott or Robinson? hmm.

Not having any luck finding more than a blurb on national media. 5 int is the record. Guess that's what it takes. I did find this, sigh.

And the answer is ...

DeJuan Rogers in the Arkansas game. 11 tackles, 1 TFL and that big INT in the end zone.

The only good defense Ive seen as a legal drinking adult. 2015 was special.

Ranking the Defenses I can remember.
1. 2000
2. 2015
3. 2003
4. (2022 but we can eclipse 2015 with a MAC title)
5. 2021
6. 2005
7. 2020 but all i remember is the WMU debacle.

They don't if it wasn't for the on side kicks that were not recovered.
