I am starting a new thread. I hate the whole “non rivals” crap. I have nothing but respect for NIU and everything they have done over the past 2 decades! I think whoever started the non rivals messages did nothing more than fuel the fire of NIU. I see all our MAC competitors as rivals, with some bigger than others. None are bigger in our chase for the MAC west than NIU.

I hope we win this game in dominant fashion with all phases coming together. 45-17

I’d take any win, but most importantly I pray that everyone stays healthy, has fun, and it is a great game! I’d like to see us really play well, and build confidence going forward!

We also recently took the lead over BGSUcks by 42-40-4. Didn't think that would ever happen with the 12 straight BG won between 1955 - 1966. Since then, it is 32-22-1. 10-6-3 in favor of Toledo before the 12 straight. We would have had our own 12 game winning streak right now if not for that embarrassing loss in 2019 by 20-7. We went 6-6 and BG was 3-9 that year. We also finished last in the MAC West that year.

Its a rivalry if it has a trophy.
