I will note that they hired Paul Chryst away from Pitt after he was 0.500 there for 3 years. So their standards are not that high.

To me if Wisconsin fired a coach with A 67-26 record, and 6-1 in bowl games, then there's only one person/choice who they should go after! That's the Wisconsin native Lance Leipold period! He took over a Buffalo program that historically was on par with EMU, and Kent St, and took them to multiple 10 wins seasons, and he went to a very challenging job at Kansas, and in his 3rd season has them 5-0 playing against big boy competition as well! I wonder if Lance would return home...........

They're going to have to outbid Nebraska

Paul Chryst didn't get fired for his W/L record. The last few seasons their teams have lost games by playing sloppy. A lot of penalties and turnovers have cost them games. They were always a program that didn't beat themselves. Also, they have never had more 4/5 star guys on a roster and are playing worse with them. I read at halftime last week, down 14 - 10 to Illinois, he told his team it was time to draw a line in the sand and dominate the 2nd half. His players rewarded him by not scoring another point and turning it over a few more times. I know he is loved by his team, but he was not getting his guys fired up to play. Sounds like they want Jim Lenoard to be the guy. Will be interesting to see how they look these next few weeks
