This team is poorly coached. Nobody knows how to finish and that is an indictment on coach and his staff. FULL STOP.

Toledo looking much better than us, but hope we come out and play angry for the full 60 mins and turn things around.

Novak: 47-38
Kill: 18-6
Doeren: 15-1
Carey: 38-10
Hammock: 10-13

It is hard to root against an NIU guy and there is still time to turn it around, but NIU football is definitely not in a good place right now. The numbers do not look good.

Because, that's what it'll take.

I get it. You are correct. But Rocky has a Sutton Smith type of effect. The entire team would rally around these guys off of single plays. Does it fix all problems no but these guys could rally a team.

I'm not sure I agree.

With Rocky, the defense still gave up something like 32 points a game last year.

This defense is just plain bad and no amount of inspiration can shore any of it up other than new personnel starting with the coordinators and recruiters.

Another reason why you should go to mobile tickets

Guess it will be a few years for my flight from Ohare to Detroit in December and going to the Christmas store staying at Marriott. It was a good way to start the long winter season.

I think this board suffers from bipolar disorder, multiple personalities and sense of entitlement. And some amnesia, not to be confused with Amnesia. Geez. Grab a beer, a shot or smoke a joint. If not your thing, grab a bottle with some warm milk. Too bad the The Grotto isn’t still around to help relieve the stress, anger and disappointment.

More proof that a really good QB makes all the difference in the world. We'd have 3 wins with a fairly healthy Rocky. Seen enuf to think if he can't play vs Toledo, then we're toast for the year. Right now, still a chance to win the MAC but certainly doesn't feel like it's gonna happen.

Doesn’t that fall still on the coaches for not recruiting that side of the ball better. With the transfer portal you can almost plug and play at certain positions now. They need to take advantage of it.

As for the team overall, I think they win this week against Toledo. The defense struggles with passing QBs and from everything I’ve seen he’s not the greatest at passing. Need the DBs back sooner than later though. The guys they have playing as backups right now aren’t cutting it

I can see the D is bad. But when the offense needs points Hampston can’t deliver. Without Rocky this team will struggle to win
