GT has yet to be announced $2b capital campaign
.... which includes fully endowing all athletic scholarships in all sports as a major goal. Currently only golf is fully endowed. Now that would be a truly fundamental shift in the GTAA's finances. Instead of the second biggest spend every year being making up the endowment gap, that money will now be free to go where ever it is needed in the program.

Quote:Neville mentioned the institute’s capital campaign, which is seeking to raise in excess of $2 billion and will include the athletic department. Goals for the campaign are being built, but one objective for the athletic department is to fully endow all of its scholarships, an initiative that would free money in the budget to devote elsewhere. In Tech’s current $105 million budget, $15 million is allocated for scholarships, the second-largest piece of the pie after personnel ($36.8 million).

Great idea which UNC via the Rams Club has done for decades. It also why I chuckle when revenue reports come out every year & people wonder how UNC gets by on so little money
