What a great time to be a JMU football fan! The team has made a splash no one could have predicted and the rest of the Country is finally starting to learn about JMU!

Most everyone on this board has heard of the Alpha Dogs, but there is a lot of “mystery” surrounding he Alpha Dog program. I just want to let everyone know that the AD program is not some kind of “secret society” or invitation only club. We are just a group of passionate alumni and fans that provide discretionary funds for the football program. In exchange we have improved access to the coaches and greater insight into the program.

Playing football at our level is an expensive proposition. The AD program helps us to level the field a little but we have a long way to go. I encourage you to reach out to your Duke Club rep and learn more about the program. At one time there was a cap on the number of members but that cap has been lifted. We know we need more members if we are going to continue to compete at the highest level of college football.

I am not in any official capacity for the Alpha’s or for JMU, but if you’d like to PM me with questions, I’ll do my best to answer or put you in touch with the appropriate people. I can say this- getting “in” now will likely be a lesser investment than getting in later!

First of all, thank you to you and all the Alpha Dogs. I hope to be able to join someday, but am in no way even close to be able to do that. But I am grateful to those of you that are.
People are starting to see the potential of JMU. I certainly didn't think we'd see it so soon, but I see this as a HUGE opportunity for donations.
If we can all step up, imagine what this program can do.
I'll admit I was a little concerned going out of the gate that we'd struggle. That time may still come, but it isn't here right now so this is a great time to capitalize.
We can legitimately be a big name in FBS.
But you are right, it's only going to get tougher to get in to that group. Same could be said for the upper tiers of the Duke Club.
The more we can financially support this program, the more potential for future success. Need to prevent any kind of complacency. Not saying we are even in the ballpark of that right now, but need to keep the momentum going.
And I do believe it starts at the top.

The donation level has increased but it has not doubled or tripled YET! I totally get your position- you need to keep the main thing the main thing! I was there, too! One day, but in the meantime do what you can and keep rootin’!

I'd pretty much totally echo JMad03. Unfortunately I'm nowhere near a position to step up this big but will always do what I can and am extremely appreciative of anyone else who also does what they can. Especially appreciative that we have those who can and will step up to and beyond Alpha Dogs level. DUUUUUUUUUKES!!!!
