Getting off the field on 3rd Down
1st and 2nd down, this is the best ODU defense ever. But man we need to do better on 3rd down and 4th down. We have had so many 3rd and long situations that we are giving up. If the defense needs to improve anywhere, it's on third down.

3rd down 4th down
VT 5-16 32% 0-1 0%
ECU 10-19 53% 2-3 66%
UVA 7-16 44% 1-1 100%
AKST 4-16 25% 2-3 66%

True, but meh. Sounds a little nitpicky. We have bigger issues to fix.

We're currently ranked 75th in the country in defensive third down conversion percentage. So not good but not bad, especially when you consider how many teams have an FCS opponent they've played already on their schedule.

I don't remember the "don't break" part 05-stirthepot

We have played 2 P5s and 2 G5s NO FCS programs
For reference, Marshall is going to play their 2nd FCS program this weekend.
Our defense has been on the field an inordinate amount of time due to our anemic offense.

We are ranked 68th in the Nation in scoring defense at 24.5 pints per game
We are ranked 24th in the Nation in red zone defense.
