But kudos for the second half effort and the game ending 4 and 1 stop by the D to seal the game. Love to see that for four quarters the rest of the year.

Samson has been exceptional this season. He is a bruiser but has speed when he gets to the edge. We are lucky to have him

Tom, make no mistake about it, Evans is NOT Darius Jackson or for that matter, Lew Nichols at CMU. He does not have that kind of physical ability.

He does, however, have the talent to play QB in the red zone, where he can run the read option, bull his way into the end zone or make a jump pass for a TD as well. The dude has been solid, yes, we do have more talented guys BUT Samson does not put the ball on the carpet either. He has been our offensive MVP to date.

Agree Jerry! I love Samson’s E-Grit! The kid gives it his all and you can’t ask more than that from any player.

Samson is like a fullback with halfback speed. He can catch out of the backfield. What happened to throwing to him in the flat this year? I do think Smith at QB makes it harder for defenses to key on Samson or any running back.
