Volleyball receiving votes in the latest AVCA Top 25 pool (4 votes). I’m not sure we’ve ever been mentioned in the poll, certainly not in a long time. RPI up to 22 as well which hopefully helps seeding in the tourney. It’s very difficult for most mid majors, even very good ones, to go deep in this tournament (combination of talent stacked at perennial P5 contenders, the fact you have to beat someone three times to win, having to travel, and even when you’ve got someone playing well every play is still impacted significantly by two other players touching the ball). But occasionally you’ll get a nice seed as a mid major where getting to the second weekend is a realistic path, whether that is getting put in a grouping with other mid majors or meeting a very overrated P5 program in round 2, and having a top 25 RPI can’t hurt our chances of getting that kind of seed.

Either way, I am pretty sure this is our first poll mention so huge props to these athletes and staff! Great to see our success all across the athletic program!
