I am going to "hold my nose" and look the other way with this and hope like hell this doesn't lead to sanctions due to how it is done. Seems like he has done his due diligence but when it comes to sanctions private schools tend to be hit harder and faster than larger state schools.

Yeah, I'm not sure you can announce that you'll pay a 5-star player if you go to X school. It violates the intent of NIL (But what doesn't) if not the letter of the regulations (if there are any). I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just be thankful you have a donor that wants to keep you relevant.

Maybe you'll be as successful as Houston with Fertitta.

No doubt. It happens every now and then with 4 stars being demoted to 3. But we've been so bad for so long can't complain too much.

My family and I are making tentative plans to attend (no tickets yet, but I suspect that won't be a problem after day 1). I regret that we never attended the CCG in person the whole time we lived in Charlotte (although it's not a long drive even now). Good news: there are 5 ACC schools within reasonable driving distance of our new home, so if I can't catch a Hokies home game there's a decent chance I can catch them on the road...
