Old Dominion was one of many tragic casualties for the Sun Belt in Week 3.

Disappointing, but not so tragic for ODU as we were not favored nor expected to win vs P5 UVA.
Hopefully, we learned from that game.

The SBC as a whole learned that nothing is a given. As a conference we will rebound.

Marshall's loss was probably the biggest disappointment. Ga State losing to UNCC was very embarrassing.

Dont forget La vs Rice. It was just a brutal week. Especially those three.

Did you not see our gamethread? We were exposed as the worst football team, athletic program and school in human history!

Right? I guess those folks forgot about the UNC 80 - 20 game when we had an NFL Quarterback. We've come along way baby...

Marshall was all over Bowling Green statistically, out-gaining them 586 to 377 yards.
3-0 turnovers hurt Marshall, but still it was a game that the Herd should have won easily. Don't discount Marshall going forward. I think it was an anomalous let-down after ND.

Ga State's loss was not quite as puzzling because of a pattern. Although they out-gained UNCC 602 to 501 yards, in three losses the Panther offense never quite seems to be able to overcome the opposition's scoring offense.

The Louisiana loss to Rice was the most curious. A mediocre (IMO) at best Rice team completely shut down the Cajun offense, both passing and rushing. La gained a measly 175 yards total offense (Rice had 449). Certainly "Tragic" best describes this game from the Cajun perspective.
